Project 365 – Let’s get ready to do it together!!?? UPDATED
April 27, 2009

Ok some of you might know what the “Project 365” is but for those of you who don’t here is some information::

The 365 Project is where you take a photo a day to later but in an album. It’s a really fun way to get your creativity flowing, learn more about yourself and the best part is having a whole year of your life documented. Imagine what a GREAT photobook this would make to look back on or pass down to your lil ones?? Here is a little snippet from Taylor McKnight who started the project back in 2004.

Why do it?

Taking a photo a day is a big undertaking with big payoffs. Here are just a few reasons why you should consider doing it:

  • Imagine being able to look back at any day of your year and recall what you did, who you met, what you learned… (Often we find it hard to remember what we did just yesterday or even last night, let alone a whole year ago!)
  • Your year-long photo album will be an amazing way to document your travels and accomplishments, your haircuts and relationships. Time moves surprisingly fast.
  • Taking a photo a day will make you a better photographer. Using your camera every day will help you learn its limits. You will get better at composing your shots, you’ll start to care about lighting, and you’ll become more creative with your photography when you’re forced to come up with something new every single day.
  • I am really excited about sinking my teeth into this but i’m not going to start till i know i am ready (so in the mean time i’m going to help us get prepared for it in this thread 😉 ) If you come across any other freebies that will help us along the journey of the “Project 365” then please please post them here… we will love you forever lol 😉 I will be adding more to this post over the next week as its busy busy here and these project 365 goodies are a little tricky to find 🙂

Organizing on a budget + a cleaning tip
    January 11, 2009

Being a mother of two mentally handicapped kids has more of its downs then ups. The biggest problem being to keep a clean house. I swear I could clean all day and its never clean and what is, is destroyed in 10 minutes time. Its frustrating to say the least. Another problem is just never having enough space for everything. Well here are some simple and cheap solutions that I am working on throughout the course of our newsletter, which will not only help me but you. Let’s face it, it’s hard enough to keep a clean house, but having a place for everything will cut the time when it comes to cleaning it up.

Make the most out of your space!!! (more…)
